Standing near the eastern shore north of Gulltown, Runestone is an old and massive castle whose walls carry runes cut by the First Men. Bronze Yohn Royce wears armour marked with the same signs, said to protect its wearer.
House Royce descends from the First Men kings of the Vale and remains among the proudest and most powerful of the Arryn bannermen. A junior branch holds the Gates of the Moon, and Royce voices carry weight in any council at the Eyrie.
