Standing in the wooded south of the westerlands near the road towards the Reach, Crakehall is a big, strongly walled castle in country thick with boar. Its lords take a brindled boar for their arms.
House Crakehall is among the more powerful Lannister bannermen, and its sons have a reputation for great size and strength. Young Lannisters have been fostered there, and Crakehall knights serve in the westerlands host.
