Standing where the kingsroad crosses the road running east to the Vale and west to Riverrun, this whitewashed inn has served travellers for centuries under a series of names and owners. The Trident runs close by to the north.

Knights, merchants, singers and smallfolk all pass through its common room, which makes it a natural place for news and for trouble. Anyone travelling between King's Landing and the North is likely to stop there at least once.
