Closest of the northern strongholds to the Wall, Last Hearth sits east of the kingsroad in cold, thinly settled country near the edge of the haunted lands. Its lands stretch to the Last River and the shore of the Bay of Seals.
House Umber holds it, a family of famously large and loud men sworn to Winterfell, who supply the Night's Watch and take the first blows of any wildling raid that slips south. The Greatjon leads them when the Starks call their banners.
