Where the Wall meets the Bay of Seals, this grim shorefront castle holds the Watch's harbour and its handful of ships. Trading vessels from Braavos and the Free Cities put in here, and the town outside the gates has a rough dockside character.
The garrison watches the coast for wildlings crossing by boat and for raiders out of the eastern sea. Recruits, supplies and ravens all pass through Eastwatch on their way west along the ice to Castle Black and the Shadow Tower.
