Built in a triangle at the confluence of the Tumblestone and the Red Fork, Riverrun has water on two sides and a ditch on the third that can be flooded to turn the castle into an island. Sandstone walls rise straight from the current.
House Tully has ruled the riverlands from here since Aegon's Conquest, when they were raised above their neighbours for supporting the dragons. Tully dead are sent down the river in burning boats rather than buried in the earth.
