Standing on the eastern shore of the North close to Ramsgate, Oldcastle looks out over the waters of the Bite. Its lands lie between White Harbor and the wilder country running north towards Widow's Watch.

House Locke holds it as bannermen of Winterfell, an old family whose crossed bronze keys recall a long watch over this coast. Lockes ride south with the Stark host when the banners go out, and their levies count among the steadier northern companies.
