Biggest in area of all the Iron Islands, Great Wyk supports more people than any of its neighbours and holds iron and lead mines in its hills. Hammerhorn, Orkwood and other lesser seats lie scattered across it.

Its coasts are stone and cliff, its soil thin, and its living made chiefly from the sea. Longships built along its shores carry ironborn crews reaving down the western coasts of Westeros when a Greyjoy calls them out.
